The historical backdrop of Bulandshahr starts even before 1200 B.C. This area is closer to the capital of Pandavas.
With passes of time, the ruler Parma made a fort in this region, and a lord named Ahibaran established the foundation of a tower called Baran which was converted into the enthusiasm language as Bulandshahr.
The early history of Bulandshahr and its origin of the name is given by British District Magistrate and gatherer for the Indian Civil Service, Frederic Salmon Growse, in a paper named “Bulandshahr Antiquities” distributed in the Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal in 1879. Bulandshahr was established as ‘Baran’ by ruler Ahibaran.
